Dr Andrew Conkin
Bio & Interests
Dr Conkin is a life-long resident of Kingsport, Tennessee and has over 10 years of experience in dentistry. He was previously employed by Erwin Dental PLLC and purchased the office of Dr Jerry M Crowe Jr in July 2017. He is the third dentist to manage the practice after Drs Crowe and Palmer and will expand the successful dental practice in the years to come.
When he is not working, Dr Conkin enjoys spending time with family and friends and pets, working outside on his family's land, woodworking, photography, traveling, hiking, swimming, and expanding his culinary palate. He has eclectic tastes in music and movies. He plans to embark on new adventures with more traveling in the coming years.
Education
Dr Conkin is a graduate of Sullivan South High School and East Tennessee State University. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Memphis in 2012.
Professional Organizations
Dr Conkin has been a member of the American Dental Association, the Tennessee Dental Association, and the First District Dental Society since graduating from UTHSC in 2012. He is also a member of the Kingsport Dental Society.
He has served on the Executive Council for the First District since 2014 and represented the First District in the TDA's House of Delegates (2016-2021). He is the President-elect for the First District Dental Society and the Vice President for East Tennessee in the TDA (2021-2023).
He has also been a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
